Bats Global Markets, a leading global operator of exchanges and services for financial markets, today announced the extension of its partnership with the World Champion Kansas City Royals, through the 2018 season.
Bats, which has been a title sponsor of the Royals since the 2010 season, will remain the title sponsor of the Bats Crown Club and will continue supporting Habitat for Humanity Kansas City through the Bats 1000 program.
“We are proud to continue our sponsorship of the Royals,” said Bats CEO Chris Concannon. “As a company rooted in Kansas City, we couldn’t have been more excited about their accomplishments last season, and we wish them continued success as they defend their championship.”
Mike Bucek, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development for the Royals, said “Aligning these two great Kansas City organizations well into the future was a priority this past offseason, and we’re extremely proud to continue our relationship with a longtime partner in Bats.”
As part of the extension, the interior design of the Bats Crown Club will continue to feature a timeline weaving important moments in financial market history, including the inception and growth of Bats, with memorable milestones in baseball and Royals’ history, including the 2015 World Series championship.
The Bats Crown Club offers the most exclusive premium seating option available at Kauffman Stadium, featuring dugout views and behind-the-plate access, as well as complimentary food and drink for guests.
The Bats 1000 program is a partnership between Royals Charities and Bats in which Bats donates $1,000 to Habitat for Humanity Kansas City every time a Royals player bats 1.000 in a game with at least two at-bats. Since the program began, Bats has donated $68,000 to Habitat for Humanity Kansas City.
