BATS Global Markets (BATS), a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and Europe, reports the BATS 1000® Index (Ticker: BATSK) rose again this week to close up 186.39 points at 22,732.61, a 0.8 percent increase over last Friday’s close. The Index rose 2.5 percent the previous week.
Eight of the index’s ten sectors posted gains, with Business Services edging out Consumer Goods for the top spot.

The BATS 1000 Index is listings-neutral and consists of 1,000 U.S. listed securities divided equally across 10 industry sectors. The 10 sectors are adjusted annually to an equal weighting at the start of the first trading day of the third quarter.
