All of the index’s ten sectors posted gains, with the Technology and Communications sector, up 2.7 percent, posting the strongest performance on the week.

The BATS 1000 Index is listings-neutral and consists of 1,000 U.S. listed securities divided equally across 10 industry sectors. The 10 sectors are adjusted annually to an equal weighting at the start of the first trading day of the third quarter.
