Bank Of The Bahamas Listed On The Bahamas International Securities Exchange

The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) is pleased to announce that the Ordinary shares of Bank of The Bahamas Limited have been admitted to listing on the Exchange.

The BISX Listing Committee approved the listing of Bank of The Bahamas' 12,000,000 ordinary shares, and it has been determined that the trading symbol for the company will be BOB.

Trading of the shares of the company will commence on BISX on Thursday, 25 November 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at an initial price of $6.00.

Commenting on the listing of Bank of The Bahamas, Keith Davies, Chief Executive Officer of BISX stated, "One of the primary goals of BISX is to formalize the entire domestic capital market, and with the listing of Bank of The Bahamas, we have taken another positive step in that direction."

Commenting further on the benefits of listing Mr. Davies stated, "I am very happy for the shareholders and potential investors in Bank of The Bahamas, because they now have a single market where they can trade their shares using a fair and transparent rule based system." The listing of Bank of The Bahamas increases the number of listed issuers trading on the Exchange to 19 with a combined market capitalization of $2.01 billion.
