Bank Of America Merrill Lynch Is Institutional Investor's Top Global Research Firm Of 2015 - Firm Widens Its Lead Over No. 2 J.P. Morgan In Annual Ranking Of Aggregated Survey Results

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is Institutional Investor's Top Global Research Firm of the Year for a fifth straight year. The bank amassed a total of 242 positions across the 12 research team surveys that II published in 2015.

J.P. Morgan, which earns the No. 2 spot for a fifth year running, claims 201 spots.

These are the only two firms whose aggregated totals exceed 200.

Morgan Stanley, with 160 positions, and Deutsche Bank, with 136, repeat in third and fourth place, respectively. UBS jumps from No. 7 to No. 5 after increasing its total by 14, to 119.

BofA Merrill heads four of the 2015 rankings: the All-America Research Team, the All-Europe Fixed-Income Research Team (in a tie with J.P. Morgan); the Emerging Europe, Middle East & Africa Research Team; and the Latin America Research Team (in a tie with J.P. Morgan and Itau BBA).

J.P. Morgan is No. 1 in three: the All-America Fixed-Income Research Team, the All-Europe Fixed-Income Research Team and the Latin America Research Team.

Seven firms captain the remaining five teams: BTG Pactual, the All-Brazil Research Team; China International Capital Corp., the All-China Research Team; Kotak Securities, the All-India Research Team; Mizuho Securities Group, the All-Japan Research Team; Morgan Stanley, the All-Asia Research Team; Sberbank CIB, the All-Russia Research Team; and UBS, the All-Europe Research Team.
