The Baltic proposes publishing the following new assessments from 2 August 2004:
- Medium range products tanker 45,000 mt dwt, double hull, built in “first class competitive yard”, “European standard B&W main engine”, about 14.5 knots service speed on about 35/32.8 mt fuel oil (laden/ballast), loa about 182 m, beam about 32 m, draft about 12 m; coated, not ice classed, 5 years old. Special survey passed. Delivery prompt (2/3 months), charter free. 2 per cent total commission.
- “Tess 52” type Supramax 52,454 dwt, “built in first class competitive yard”, “European standard B&W main engine”, 66,500 cbm grain, loa 190 m, beam 32.26 m, draft 12.02 m, 14.0L/14.5B knots on 30.0 mt (380 cst) no mdo at sea, 5 holds/ 5 hatches, 4x 30 mt cranes; not ice classed. Five years old. Special survey passed. Delivery prompt (2/3 months), charter free. 2 per cent total commission.
The frequency of the assessments will be increased from fortnightly to weekly with the assessments normally being published on Tuesdays.
The Baltic is also actively seeking to recruit additional non-UK based reporting panellists.
