Guillaume Eliet has been appointed deputy head of the Investment Services Providers and Products department of the Investment Services & Asset Management division with effect from 1 July 2009 to replace Isabelle Cardon. He will be in charge of the teams responsible for the authorisation and monitoring of collective investment schemes, investment management companies and investment services providers.
Guillaume Eliet, 37, is a lawyer with a postgraduate diploma and a master's degree in business law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He began his career as a capital markets lawyer at Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations, later moving to the BNP group. In 1999 he took up a post at a Paris-based international law firm. Mr Eliet joined the AMF in 2005 as internal counsel and head of policy at the Investment Services Providers and Products department, a position he has held until now.
