Australian Stock Exchange Mark Of Respect

The Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) will observe three minutes' silence at midday (EST) on Monday 17 September 2001.

All business activities including trading will be suspended during this period, as a mark of respect for all those affected by the recent tragic events in the United States - victims, survivors, their families and colleagues.

The market display in Exchange Square (Sydney), Stock Exchange Centre (Melbourne) and other offices will be dimmed to allow ASX staff, members of the financial community and members of the public to mark the occasion.
