While in the early stages of development, this type of initiative is consistent with ASX’s strategy aimed at positioning ASX in a highly competitive global market by linking with other markets. It is complementary to other links which ASX has previously announced and is consistent with ASX’s stance of pursuing a multi-lateral approach to such links.
ASX believes that its program of international strategic alliances will benefit ASX shareholders, customers and Australia’s capital markets by facilitating access by overseas investors to Australian companies and by facilitating the diversification of Australian investors’ portfolios into international markets.
