Share Trading in August
The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.2 billion, as compared to EUR 2.5 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 263,156 as compared to 266,192 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 685 billion, compared to EUR 579 billion in August 2009.
Derivatives Trading
The average daily trading volume in derivative products amounted to 484,233 contracts, as compared to 506,390 contracts during the past 12-month period. The average daily trading volume in share products was 187,833 contracts, as compared to 234,474 contracts during the past 12 month period. The average daily trading volume in index products was 174,172 contracts, compared to 173,738 contracts during the past 12-month period. Fixed-income derivatives traded 122,228 contracts, compared to 98,178 contracts during the past 12-month period.
