AT&T Wireless Group Joins Roster Of NYSE-Listed Stocks

In the week ended April 28, AT&T Wireless Group joined the ranks of New York Stock Exchange-listed companies.

The common shares of AT&T Wireless Group, headquartered in Redmond, Wash., began trading on the NYSE on April 27, under the symbol AWE. The company operates one of the largest U.S. digital wireless networks. The Group, including its partnership and affiliate markets, currently licenses to provide wireless services covering 94 percent of the U.S. population. AT&T Wireless joins the Exchange as an initial public offering, and at $10.6 billion was the largest domestic offering in history.
