ASX Welcomes SDIA Appointment

The Managing Director and CEO of the Australian Stock Exchange, Tony D’Aloisio, has welcomed the appointment of Rob Thomas as Chairman of the Securities and Derivatives Industry Association (SDIA).

“Rob Thomas will bring to this role his long experience in the broking industry and we at ASX certainly look forward to working with him as Chairman,” Mr D’Aloisio said. A close relationship between ASX and the SDIA is important because the SDIA was created to represent the interests of the broking industry following the demutualisation of the ASX.

“Rob Thomas himself speaks of the SDIA as the natural voice of the broking community and we believe he is ideally placed to help the SDIA consolidate itself in this role,” Mr D’Aloisio said.
