ASX Pushes for Further Year 2000 Disclosure
Date 11/08/1999
The Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) is writing to its listed entities this week about the Year 2000 problem.
In March 1998 ASX required listed entities to provide information about their Year 2000 readiness. A similar request for information was put to listed entities in December 1998.
In this third phase, ASX is now requiring further information about listed entities' progress so it can be satisfied that they are meeting their continuous disclosure obligations under ASX Listing Rules. ASX is requiring entities to disclose this information by 30 September 1999.
