S&P Capital IQ Real-Time Solutions, the global provider of innovative market data services, trading and infrastructure solutions, has reinforced its Asia offering by extending its QuantFEED and QuantLINK solutions through Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s (HKEx) transformative Orion programme. The new service provides participants with faster access to both trading platform and market data services.
The launch of the HKEx Orion Market Data (OMD) Platform and Orion Central Gateway (OCG) programme illustrates the growth of client demand for market access, connectivity, speed and efficiency across Asia. The use of S&P Capital IQ’s sector-leading products through these portals will enable flexibility and faster access to low latency market data, alongside a broader scope of connectivity across major financial capitals around the world, including several centres in the Asia-Pacific region.
This move follows S&P Capital IQ’s co-location to HKEx’s data centre in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong earlier this year, resulting in a greater competitive advantage for clients. Being a member of HKEx Hosting Services ecosystem has added to the wide range of low latency connectivity and co-location services provided by S&P Capital IQ to meet the requirements of buy- and sell-side clients, both in Asia-Pacific and globally, for high performance and cost effective solutions.

QuantLINK, the firm’s high performance global trading infrastructure service, interconnects the cores of multiple exchanges with proximity hosting at the source, ensuring clients can operate trading systems in close proximity to the exchange matching engine. The solution simultaneously addresses the demand to reduce both connectivity costs and latency, while also having the capability to complement or replace existing legacy infrastructures.
