Following the publication of the ASEAN Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (ASEDG) for SMEs in Supply Chains (Version 1) in April 2025 (refer to earlier press release here: https://www.theacmf.org/media/news-release/acmf-releases-simplified-guidance-for-aseansmes-in-supply-chains-version-1), the ACMF is pleased to remind interested parties that the public consultation period will conclude on 12 September 2025. The ASEDG Version 1 can be accessed here: https://www.theacmf.org/sustainable-finance/publications/aseansimplified-esg-disclosure-guide.
We welcome feedback from all interested parties, including financial institutions, corporate reporters, and investors, to be submitted through the ASEDG Public Consultation Form: https://forms.gle/ssMvBf5u4d7LFF7VA.
Following the consultation period, the feedback will be consolidated and analysed for further refinements to the ASEDG Version 1. The ACMF expects to launch ASEDG Version 2 at the ACMF International Conference in November 2025.
The ASEDG is aimed at equipping small to medium enterprises (SMEs) across ASEAN operating within global and local supply chains with a simplified reference guide to report on ESG disclosures to various stakeholders including customers, financiers and investors.
It streamlines and consolidates various global ESG frameworks as well as local guidelines and frameworks of each of the ten ASEAN member states into a set of 38 priority disclosures for SMEs to address as reference. It is further categorised into Basic, Intermediate and Advanced, to differentiate the levels of sustainability maturity of each SME. The disclosures are applicable across all industries with different levels of priority, and SMEs are encouraged to determine the significance and relevance of these disclosures to their companies.
