Arcelor In Euronext 100 And High Co In Next 150

Date 15/02/2002

Usinor (N100) of France, Arbed (N150) of Belgium and Aceralia of Spain, will merge into the new metal company Arcelor. Arcelor will be listed on several markets including, from 18 February, on Euronext Brussels and Euronext Paris.

Arcelor will replace Usinor in the Euronext 100 index (N100), using Euronext Paris as the price source. Arbed will be removed from the Next 150 index (N150). Therefore the biggest constituent by market capitalisation of the reserve list, which is High Co, will replace Arbed in the Next 150 index.

Euronext decided not to take into account Rochette (LA) because of the ongoing offer by Spanish company Saica and Luxembourg's Mondi.

These changes will be effective as of Wednesday 20 February 2002.
