April Trading Volume At Boerse Stuttgart Around EUR 7.2 Billion - Trading Volume Almost As High As In April 2013 // Turnover In Equities Significantly Higher Than In April 2013

According to its order book statistics, Boerse Stuttgart generated turnover of just under EUR 7.2 billion in April 2014. Trading volumes were almost as high as in April 2013.

Trading in securitised derivatives accounted for the largest share of the total turnover. Overall, turnover in this asset class in April was more than EUR 3.2 billion. Turnover in leverage products was just under EUR 1.7 billion, while investment products accounted for more than EUR 1.5 billion of the aggregate figure.

The order book turnover in equity trading was almost EUR 1.2 billion, around 12 percent higher than in April 2013. Trading in this asset class in the period from January to April 2014 was up almost 28 percent on the same period in 2013. The April turnover in German equities was more than EUR 890 million, while turnover in international equities was more than EUR 284 million.

Turnover in debt instrument trading was more than EUR 2 billion in April. The trading volume was up slightly in comparison with April 2013. With turnover of more than EUR 1.2 billion, corporate bonds accounted for the largest share of the total.

Trading in investment funds contributed more than EUR 702 million to the total turnover in April. At more than EUR 626 million, trading in exchange-traded products (ETPs) generated the largest share of this turnover. Turnover in investment fund units was more than EUR 76 million.
