Appointments At Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange

Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) would like to announce recent appointments for the KLSE Group which came into effect on 1 March 2002, as follows:
  1. Md Nor Ahmad, Deputy President, Exchange Operations
  2. Abdul Hamid Sheikh Mohamed, Deputy President, Strategy and Development
  3. Y.M. Ungku A Razak Ungku A Rahman, Executive Director, KLSE Technology Sdn Bhd.
Md Nor Ahmad

As Deputy President, Exchange Operations, Md Nor is responsible for regulatory matters including listing and market supervision for equities, derivatives and international offshore markets, and the group legal, secretarial, and finance and administration management.

Md Nor is a board member for the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange Bhd, Labuan International Financial Exchange and KLSE Property Management Sdn Bhd.

Md Nor joined the KLSE in 1983 and was appointed as Deputy President I, KLSE in 1999. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Md Nor graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Md Nor is Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Abdul Hamid Sheikh Mohamed

As Deputy President, Strategy and Development Abdul Hamid is responsible for group policy and development, infrastructure development, information services, group communications, public affairs and public information. His responsibilities also include international affairs, and training and education via the Research Institute of Investment Analysts Malaysia.

Abdul Hamid is the project co-ordinator for the integration of the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange and the Mesdaq Market into the KLSE Group and the demutualisation of the integrated exchange.

He is a board member of KLSE-Bernama Real-Time Information Services Sdn Bhd, the Research Institute of Investment Analysts Malaysia and KLSE Technology Sdn Bhd.

Abdul Hamid joined the KLSE Group in 1998 as Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning and International Affairs. Abdul Hamid is a Chartered Certified Accountant and was trained at the Emile Woolf School of Accountancy, London.

Y.M. Ungku A. Razak Ungku A.Rahman

As Executive Director of KLSE Technology Sdn Bhd (KLSE Tech), Ungku A.Razak is responsible for advisory and consulting services in facilities management, systems acquisition and implementation, systems and network operations in information technology. Established in March 2002, KLSE Tech is an information technology service provider wholly-owned by KLSE.

Ungku A. Razak is a board member of the Malaysian Share Registration Services Sdn Bhd, a KLSE Group company.

Ungku A. Razak joined the Exchange in 1984 and was appointed Deputy President II, KLSE in 1999. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Studies from Loughborough University, England and obtained an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, England.
