Singapore Commodity Exchange (SICOM) is pleased to announce that Jeffrey Tan will assume the position as SICOM’s President with effect from 2 April 2007. Together with SICOM Board, the expanded management team will develop SICOM’s existing and new futures business. SICOM will also enhance its services so as to better serve its members and the commodity futures trading community.
Jeffrey Tan was most recently Vice President in Singapore Exchange (SGX) responsible for the implementation of SGX AsiaClear, SGX’s Over-the-Counter clearing facility for oil swaps and forward freight agreements. Prior to this, he was responsible for exchange alliances and international affairs in the corporate strategy function of SGX. During his stint with SGX, he had also headed the departments responsible for trading accesses into the securities market of SGX as well as the strategy and corporate business development for the derivatives market.
