Apex Group Ltd. (“Apex Group”), a global financial services provider with over $3.5 trillion in assets serviced, has appointed Jørgen Ouaknine as Global Head of Digital Markets Infrastructure & Wealth Distribution.
Reporting to Georges Archibald, CEO of Apex Distribution, Jørgen will lead Apex Group’s strategy across digital markets infrastructure and wealth distribution. Based in New York, he will focus on expanding relationships with digital exchanges, financial market infrastructures (FMIs) and intermediaries, helping connect fund managers and issuers with new distribution channels, investors and sources of capital. He will also support the continued expansion of Apex Group’s capabilities across digital assets, tokenization and fund distribution.
Jørgen joins Apex Group from Euroclear, where he most recently served as Global Head of Innovation & Digital Assets and Head of Products Americas. He built Euroclear’s digital assets practice from the ground up and led the development and launch of its first digital market infrastructure, working with leading financial institutions, market infrastructures, technology providers and regulators to bring new models for digital issuance and settlement into production.
Prior to Euroclear, Jørgen held senior leadership roles at BNP Paribas across strategy, transformation, digital innovation and international banking.
