Under the rules for the AEX-index? (AEX), the Amsterdam Midkap index? (AMX) and the Amsterdam Small cap index? (AScX), each index is reweighted annually after the close of the markets on the first day of trading in March.
This year’s reweighting will lead to the following changes in the composition of the AEX, AMX and AScX indices, which will come into effect on Friday 2 March 2007.
AEX- The following shares will be included in the AEX: Mittal Steel, and Randstad (currently included in the AMX).
- The following shares will be removed from the AEX: Getronics (to be included in the AMX).
- The following shares will be included in the AMX: Getronics (currently included in the AEX), BinckBank (currently included in the AScX), and SNS Reaal and Tele Atlas.
- The following shares will be removed from the AMX: Randstad (to be included in the AEX), and Hunter Douglas, Pharming Group and Vastned Retail (all to be included in the AScX).
- The following shares will be included in the AScX: Hunter Douglas, Pharming Group and Vastned Retail (all currently included in the AMX), and Beter Bed, Endemol, MacIntosh Retail Group and Wavin.
- The following shares will be removed from the AScX: BinckBank (to be included in the AMX), and BE Semiconductors, Fornix BioSciences, Innoconcepts, Kendrion and Nieuwe Steen Investments.
