Annual Review Of S&P/EGX ESG Index: Will Be Effective On 19 September 2011

The S&P/EGX ESG index Annual Review process is carried out in cooperation between Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Standard  and Poor's  (S&P)  and  the  Egyptian  Institute of Directors (EIoD).

A comprehensive review was applied on the EGS index, measuring the companies’ performance in environment, social responsibility and governance issues, as per S&P methodology.

It is worth mentioning that, the index constituents were selected from the EGX 100 pool announced in February 2011 based on the market activity over the period July to December 2010.
