The SHFE Nickel Futures Contract Specification has been adopted by its Board of Directors and reported to the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The contract specifications are hereby released, and shall take effect on November 20, 2025.
The electrolytic nickel that conforms to the specifications of GB/T 6516-2025, ASTM B39-79(2023) can be used for physical delivery starting from November 20, 2025. The electrolytic nickel that conforms to the specifications of GB/T 6516-2010, ASTM B39-79(2013) cannot be used for physical delivery starting from November 18, 2027. and the existing standard warrants can still be used for physical delivery.
Please visit the official website of SHFE for the Chinese version. If there is any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version, the Chinese version shall prevail.
