Anhui Conch Cement Co. Ltd of China will be added to the Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index, Dow Jones Indexes announced today.
Anhui Conch Cement Co. Ltd (HKG:0914) will replace Fortune Brands, Inc. of the U.S. (NYSE:FO) in the Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index. Fortune Brands, Inc. is being removed due to its spin-off of Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc. (FBHS). Immediately following the spin-off, the supersector classification for Fortune Brands, Inc. will change from Construction & Materials to Food & Beverages, making it ineligible for inclusion in the Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index.
The Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index measures the performance of 30 leading companies in the global supersector Construction & Materials as defined by the proprietary classification system used by Dow Jones Indexes. Stocks are chosen based on float-adjusted market capitalization, revenue and net income.
The changes in the Dow Jones Construction & Materials Titans 30 Index will be effective as of the opening of trade on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
