André Roelants Appointed To Executive Board - Deutsche Börse Implements German Corporate Governance Code

On Monday, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse appointed André Roelants to the Executive Board with immediate effect, where he will serve as Deputy CEO. Roelants, who is chief executive officer of the subsidiary Clearstream International S.A., will be responsible for the newly created Clearstream Division.

In addition the Supervisory Board intends to adopt the suggestions and recommendations put forward by the German Corporate Governance Code as a whole. The Executive Board of Deutsche Börse had previously already resolved to recognize the Code in full. The necessary amendments to the rules of procedure for the Executive Board and Supervisory Board will be drawn up in the weeks ahead, while any amendments to the corporate by-laws would ? to the extent necessary ? be decided by the next General Meeting. Deutsche Börse now already applies many of the recommendations contained in the Code. Over and above the recommended standards set forth in the Code, Deutsche Börse will publish the Executive Board members' remunerations individually.
