Amsterdam Exchanges Gets Domain Name On Appeal

On 27 July 2000, the Court of Appeal in Amsterdam overturned the judgment issued by the Amsterdam District Court on 4 November 1999, in which the District Court ruled that Blue 7 did not have to surrender the domain name Beursplein5.nl to Amsterdam Exchanges.

On appeal, however, it has now been decided that Blue 7 may no longer use the name and must immediately ensure that the name is transferred to Amsterdam Exchanges.
