The average daily trading volume for the period 12/01 – 16/01 reached JD (6.5) million compared to JD (10.5) million for the last week, a decrease of (38.5%). The total trading volume during the week reached JD(32.4) million compared to JD (52.6) million during the last week. Trading a total of (15.3) million shares through (12374) transactions.

Financial led the trading with JD(11.86) million or (36.64%) of the total trading volume. The Services followed with a JD(10.76) million or (33.22%). Finally, the Industrial with a JD(9.76) million representing(30.14%) of the total trading volume.

The shares price index closed at (2625.1) points, compared to (2586.1) points for the last week, an increase of (1.51%). The Financial index increased by (1.28%), the Services index increased by (2.17%), and the Industrial index increased by (0.92%).

The shares of (125) companies were traded, the shares prices of (55) companies rose, and the shares prices of (45) declined.

The top five gainers during the week were, the Aldaman For Investments by (14.29%), The Arab Internationl For Education & Investment. by (8.23%), Zara Investement Holding by (8.16%), Arabian Steel Pipes Manufacturing by (8.06%), and Jordanian Realestate Company For Development by (7.55%).

The top five losers were, the Jordan Dairy by (13.94%), Al- Sharq Investments Projects(holding) by (13.40%), Al-bilad Securities And Investment by (9.38%), Union Investment Corporation by (9.09%), and Int'l Arabian Development And Investment Trading Co. by (8.82%).
