The American Stock Exchange (Amex) announces the continued expansion of its Nasdaq trading program, today adding the following ten securities.
- Applied Materials, Inc. (AMAT)
- Atmel Corp. (ATML)
- Cephalon, Inc. (CEPH)
- Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (CHKP)
- Gilead Sciences, Inc. (GILD)
- ICOS Corp. (ICOS)
- Linear Technology Corp. (LLTC)
- Nextel Communications, Inc. (NXTL)
- Sepracor, Inc. (SEPR)
- Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. (VTSS)
The Amex began trading Nasdaq securities on August 12, following approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission to trade Nasdaq securities under unlisted trading privileges. The Amex has completed the first phase of its Nasdaq trading program, trading 120 of the most actively traded Nasdaq stocks from the Nasdaq-100 Index and S&P 500 Index.
