Amendments To Baltic Tanker Assessments

Date 21/12/2004

The Baltic Exchange has given one year’s notice of its intention to increase the size of tanker used as the basis for reporting for its Middle East Gulf to Japan route (TD3) from 250,000 to 260,000 metric tonnes. The changes will be implemented on 3 January 2006 following a 3 month period of dual reporting starting on 1 October 2005.

The Baltic has also issued a reminder that after 24 December 2004 the Baltic’s Rotterdam to New York clean tanker route (TC2) will be replaced by route TC2_ 37 using 37,000 metric tonne tankers as the basis for reporting. All other route characteristics remain unchanged. The revised tanker route will therefore be based on the following criteria:

Route: TC2_37
CPP/UNL Continent to USAC. Rotterdam to New York with laydays/cancelling 10/14 days in advance. Maximum age 15 years.
