Representing all the companies listed on Euronext's Alternext markets, the Alternext Index will not only be a tool for asset managers specializing in small and midcap stocks but also an additional vector for the promotion of listed companies within an enlarged financial community.
Alternext Index will be weighted for market capitalization and calculated daily.
Alternext, the Euronext market dedicated to small and medium-size business, counts 39 companies listed in Paris, with market capitalization totalling approximately EUR 2 billion. As already announced, Alternext Brussels will be welcoming Evadix, the first company to list there, on 15 June 2006. The market should also be opening in Amsterdam during the second half of the year.
