The following change will become effective at the close of trading on Wednesday, July 14, 2004
- Alstom (ADR) (France, NYSE: ALS, CUSIP: 021244108, Sedol: 2249384) shares will increase by 240,553,687 to 1,297,211,259 shares. Simultaneously, the IWF will change from 1.00 to 0.815. The French State recently converted its TSDDRA bonds to shares, thereby becoming an owner of an 18.5% stake in the company.
- Westpac Banking Corp. (ADR) (Australia, NYSE: WBK, CUSIP: 961214301, Sedol: 2956736) shares will increase by 1,831,000 to 353,451,000 shares. The change is due to a dividend reinvestment plan.
- Nippon Tel&Tel Co. (ADR) (Japan, NYSE: NTT, CUSIP: 654624105, Sedol: 2639996) shares will increase by 177,031,400 to 1,902,833,200. Simultaneously, the IWF will change to 0.907 from 1. The changes are as a result of the listing of government-controlled shares.
- Research in Motion Ltd. (US) (Canada, NASDAQ: RIMM, CUSIP: 760975102, Sedol: 2407320) will replace Royal Group Technologies Ltd. SV (US) (Canada, NYSE: RYG, CUSIP: 779915107, Sedol: 2719315). Royal Group Technologies is being removed from the S&P/TSX 60 Index due to lack of representation. Research in Motion Ltd. will join the S&P ADR Index with 186,904,092 shares and an IWF of 1.00.
