Al-Namothajiah For Islamic Microfinance Approved 2023 Year-End Financial Statements

The Board of Directors of Al-Namothajiah for Islamic Microfinance approved 2023 year-end financial statements during its meeting on February 22, 2024

Chair of the Board of Directors, H.E. Mr. Majd Shafiq, stated that the company year-end results showed strong growth, with net profits of JOD 114,882 compared to a loss of JOD 454,964 for 2022.

Mr. Shafiq emphasized that Al-Namothajiah made significant strategic progress, with 4,874 clients and healthy growth in the company's credit portfolio.  He further stressed the pioneering role played by Al-Namothajiah  in support of the economic empowerment of women in Jordan, as the number of female borrowers reached 1,712.

In terms of integrating youth into the national economy, the percentage of youth borrowers reached 68% of the total number of borrowers. The company follows a development approach that focuses on supporting productive projects, people with disabilities, farmers, renewable energy, and green financing.

Payments made by company clients using electronic payment methods constitute 42% of Al­ Namothajiah's total payments, enhancing financial inclusion efforts in Jordan, especially for clients located outside the capital.

Al-Namothajiah is a wholly owned subsidy of The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Bassma Bint Talal.

The company is present in most governorates of the Kingdom through ten branches and offices, and provides its services and financial products in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia to individuals, small companies, and micro-enterprises.  It operates under the regulatory umbrella of the Central Bank of Jordan.
