Air France-KLM Replaces Gallaher Group Plc In The S&P European Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus, S&P Euro and S&P United Kingdom indices effective after the close of trading on Tuesday 17 April 2007:

  • Air France-KLM (France, SEDOL: 4916039, GICS: Industrials, GICS Code: 20302010) will replace Gallaher Group Plc (United Kingdom, SEDOL: 0383369, GICS: Consumer Staples, GICS Code: 30203010) in the S&P Europe 350 index, and will be added to the S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, following the acquisition of Gallaher Group by Japan Tobacco.

The acquisition remains subject to the sanction of the UK courts at a hearing to be held on 17 April.

Air France-KLM is a commercial airline company. The number of shares outstanding will be 269,384,000 and the Investable Weight Factor will be 0.55. The company will be added to the S&P Europe 350 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Airlines sub-industry.
