BM&F’s agricultural markets registered record open
interest on June 26th: 103,680 contracts in comparison to 100,830
on June 25th. Live Cattle and Ethanol futures contracts also set
an open interest historic mark. With an open interest of 42,657
registered on June 26th, Live Cattle futures surpassed the 41,390
mark registered on the day before. Ethanol futures registered
an open interest of 757 on June 25th, totaled an open interest
of 833 on June 26th – also a record.
In relation to contracts traded at BM&F, in June, until the
22nd, the Coffee, Corn, and Soybean futures volume exceeded the
total volume traded on June 2006:
