Agreements to be signed for the Listing of Exchange Fund Notes on the Stock Exchange

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK), the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Limited (HKSCC) will sign agreements on Monday, July 19, 1999 for the listing of Exchange Fund Notes (EFN) on the Stock Exchange. A Listing Agreement for EFN will be signed by SEHK and HKMA, and an Admission Agreement to admit EFN as eligible securities in the Central Clearing And Settlement System will be signed by HKMA and HKSCC. Lee Hon Chiu, Chairman, Alec Tsui, Chief Executive and Lawrence Fok, Senior Executive Director will represent SEHK; Joseph Yam, Chief Executive, Tony Latter, Deputy Chief Executive and Peter Pang, Executive Director will represent HKMA; John Chan, Chairman, and Stewart Shing, Chief Executive will represent HKSCC.
