Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) observed Commemoration Day with the motto “Our Martyrs, Our Beacons of Hope”.
The national flag was flown at half-mast at 8.00 AM, in respect for the souls of the country's martyrs. All ADX staff took a moment of silence at 11:30 am and offered prayers, followed by raising the national flag at the tunes of the national anthem.
Commenting on the occasion, ADX Chief Executive, Rashed Al Blooshi, said: “This day represents a chance for us to pay our respect to the souls of the heroes of our country, who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect this country, and its people, who defended our values, and our right to peace.”
“Commemoration Day is a day in which we express our pride and teach our children with the meaning of sacrifice and how our country should be loved and protected,” said al-Blooshi.
