Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has conducted an evacuation exercise for its headquarters in cooperation with the Civil Defence General Directorate (CDGD) and Abu Dhabi Police (ADP).
The exercise comes as part of ADX efforts to raise awareness among citizens in crisis management and emergency situations.
The evacuation exercise was successfully conducted by the health and safety committee at ADX. It included evacuation of employees from the premises according to a scenario drafted by CDGD and ADP.
The exercise lasted for around 30 minutes and included launching the alarm in the premises, followed by calling the GCDD and ADP to register the emergency,then an arrival of evacuation team that assisted in creating a safe evacuation without injuries.
“The aim of this exercised is to ensure the safety procedures in ADX and continue training the employees with emergency cases. ADX has been conducted this exercise annually in order to maintain readiness and test safety systems, in accordance with CDGD and ADP plans of raising awareness in Abu Dhabi,” said Rashed al-Blooshi, ADX chief executive officer.
Al-Blooshi also highlighted the extensive cooperation between ADX and both CDGD and ADP in raising awareness among the employees to ensure their safety in all situations.
