ACER Updates Its Frequently Asked Questions Regarding REMIT And Annex VI Of The Transaction Reporting User Manual; Calls For Stakeholders To Join New REMIT Expert Group On Wholesale Energy Market Trading

The Agency has published the eighth edition of the Frequently Asked Questions on REMIT transaction reporting. For more see here.

In 2017 a total of 117 questions have been sent to the Agency’s Transaction Reporting mailbox. Despite the high number of questions received, the Agency strives to respond to as many queries as possible; so far 90 have been answered. The most relevant among them are regularly discussed at the Agency’s biweekly webinars with RRM user groups.

In addition, the Agency published an updated version of Annex VI, which is part of the Transaction Reporting User Manual (TRUM). The updated annex includes information on how to correctly report the Delivery point or zone, as well as an updated List of Accepted Energy Identification Codes (EICs). The Agency launched a call until the end of the month for a new consultative REMIT expert group on wholesale energy market trading. The group will advise the Agency on topics related to the EU Regulation on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency (REMIT) replacing the Ad hoc REMIT Expert Group, which dissolved on 28 February 2017.
