ACER Recommends Adoption Of HVDC Network Code

ACER published  today its Opinion and Recommendation for the Network Code (NC) on High Voltage Direct Current Connections and DC-connected Power Park Modules (HVDC).

The Agency recommended its adoption to the European Commission after assessing that the Network Code is in line with the Framework Guidelines on Electricity Grid Connections and the associated objectives. The Agency highlighted a few areas in which the Network Code could be improved. The Agency supports that these areas are addressed by the European Commission when adopting the Network Code, as they do not affect its compliance with the Framework Guidelines.
