The Agency published today the 21st edition of REMIT Questions and Answers, which contains the most up-to-date information concerning REMIT policy issues.
The three newly added Q&As on REMIT provide additional information on what obligations final customers have to publish inside information, the specific case of inside information disclosure in the case of an outage of a gas-fired power plant, as well as general policy on market participants’ obligations under Article 4 of REMIT. In 2017, a total of 137 questions were addressed to the Agency’s functional REMIT mailbox so far. Altogether 114 questions have already been addressed either individually, when necessary, or with reference to the existing guidance on REMIT, which is available on the REMIT Portal. There are currently 23 questions still open.
In all of this work, the Agency is conscious of the need to regularly consult a wide range of stakeholders. For that reason, the REMIT Q&As are developed in consultation with the National Regulatory Authorities. In addition the Agency consults a diverse range of industry experts through the various REMIT expert groups which have covered a range of REMIT topics over the past five years. Furthermore, REMIT Roundtable meetings (with energy market participant associations, Organised Market Places and reporting parties) have been held over the past four years to enable industry to feed in and actively engage with the Agency’s REMIT implementation projects and policies.
