The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) publishes today the first Implementation Monitoring Report on the progresses made in implementing the guideline on electricity transmission system operation (the System Operation Guideline) across Europe.
What are the key findings?
The report analyses the implementation status of the rules and responsibilities for the coordination and data exchange between transmission system operators (TSOs), between TSOs and distribution system operators (DSOs), as well as between TSOs or DSOs and significant grid users in operational planning and in close to real-time operations.
ACER finds there is an incomplete and insufficiently uniformed implementation of the data exchange provisions of the System Operation Guideline across the European Union.
ACER recommends national regulatory authorities (NRAs) to perform or promote a prompt implementation of the relevant provisions of the System Operation Guideline in their countries.
