In view of the COVID-19 outbreak the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and national regulatory authorities (NRAs) have largely switched to teleworking mode where appropriate. However, the oversight of the European Wholesale Energy Market trading continues to be carried out under REMIT in close cooperation.
For instance, ACER and NRAs keep receiving and analysing suspicious transaction reports. ACER’s automated surveillance tool continues triggering alerts based on REMIT data and the responsible NRAs are being notified by ACER in a secure way.
