Today ACER has issued a Decision on the electricity Transmission System Operators’ proposal for the determination of the Capacity Calculation Regions (CCRs Proposal) in accordance with Article 9(11) of EU Regulation 2015/1222 on Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management (CACM Regulation) and Article 8(1) of Regulation (EC) No 713/2009 (the Agency’s Founding Regulation). In its Decision, ACER approves the TSOs’ CCRs Proposal subject to the necessary merger of the Central West European (CWE) and the Central European Region (CEE) regions into one single Capacity Calculation Region.
