In the ACER Decision published today, ACER decided to neither approve nor amend ENTSO-E’s European Resource Adequacy Assessment 2022 (ERRA 2022). ENTSO-E is the European association of Transmission System Operators (TSOs) for electricity.
The purpose of this annual assessment by ENTSO-E is to monitor the risks to Europe’s security of electricity supply and identify electricity adequacy concerns for up to 10 years ahead.
ACER acknowledges ENTSO-E’s substantial efforts for ERAA 2022, an assessment that was developed in the context of an unprecedented energy crisis. However, ACER considers that ERAA 2022 does not provide a fully objective basis for identifying the risks to European security of electricity supply.
