The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) publishes an Opinion reviewing the consistency of the most recently published national gas and hydrogen network development plans (NDPs) with the draft EU-wide Ten-Year Network Development Plan (EU TYNDP) 2022.
The ACER assessment also covers energy transition aspects, such as the integration of renewable hydrogen and biomethane into gas NDPs, and the readiness of the gas infrastructure to accept injections of hydrogen and biomethane.
It contains several recommendations for improving the consistency of future NDPs with the EU TYNDP and aligning network plans with decarbonisation goals.
