81 Billion Euros Orderbook Turnover On Xetra In November

Order book turnover on Xetra and the Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading stood at €85.1 billion in November – a decrease by 24 percent year-on-year (November 2011: €111.6 billion). Of the €85.1 billion, €80.8 billion were attributable to Xetra – a decrease by 24 percent y-o-y (November 2011: €106.4 billion). €4.3 billion were attributable to the Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading – a decrease by 17 percent y-o-y (November 2011: €5.2 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €2.8 billion in November.
 
In equities, turnover reached €73.1 billion on Deutsche Börse’s cash markets (Xetra: €71.4 billion, Xetra Frankfurt specialist trading: €1.8 billion). Turnover in bonds was €1.4 billion, and in structured products on Scoach €1.2 billion. Order book turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €9.3 billion.
 
A total of 14.3 million transactions were executed on Xetra in November, a decrease of 36 percent y-o-y (November 2011: 22.2 million).
 
The DAX security with the highest turnover in November was Siemens AG at €5.2 billion. Metro AG led the MDAX equities at €608.3 million, while Bertrandt AG topped the SDAX equity index with €44.6 million, and Freenet AG headed TecDAX with €126.6 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares DAX with €792.2 million.
