The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will hold its quarterly "Opportunity Days", where top managements of listed companies meet directly with analysts and investors, on November 7- December 2. This quarter will have 77 firms, with a combined THB 1.7 trillion (approx. USD 55.20 billion) market capitalization, participating in the event.
“The flooding has hit each listed company to a different level. So, the Opportunity Days event should be a chance for firms to tell investors directly about this matter. The large number of participants indicates that companies understand well how to provide information on vital matters to investors effectively and in a timely, credible manner. The SET is pleased that the event is able to be an intermediary between investors and listed companies. In addition, investors can follow the event schedule and watch the companies’ presentations on SET’s website without transportation problems,” said Chanitr Charnchainarong, SET’s Chief Issuer & Listing Officer.
The event, which facilitates investor relations activities of the companies, will include 66 firms on SET and 11 firms on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai). Of the number, four companies are participating for the first time, which are Angpao Assets plc (PAO), Lalin Property plc (LALIN), Sikarin plc (SKR), and Thailuxe Enterprises plc (TLUXE).
An Opportunity Day makes it convenient for analysts, investors, and the media to find out about the business and operations of listed companies – and for firms to communicate with these key audiences. The SET schedules such events after every periodic disclosure of financial statements.
The event will provide a live broadcast for both domestic and foreign investors through Webcasts (www.set.or.th/oppday and www.settrade.com/oppday) and other channels, such as iPhones, iPads, Blackberries and Android devices. Viewers are also able to watch past events, download related documents, and send questions to presenting companies directly through any of the above-mentioned websites.
