3rd FIBV Global Emerging Markets Conference And Exhibition In Istanbul

The "3rd FIBV Global Emerging Markets Conference and Exhibition", organized by the International Federation of Stock Exchanges (FIBV) and the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE), will be held in Istanbul, between 5-7 April 2000. Global Emerging Markets Conference and Exhibition is organized jointly by the FIBV and a host stock exchange every two years with an aim to bring together institutional investors, brokerage firms, stock exchanges, senior management of listed companies, academics, researchers and financial press as well as data vendors and hardware and software providers with the objective of providing a showcase for emerging markets. The Conference and Exhibition will act as an international platform where recent developments in the emerging markets will be discussed, focusing especially on creating new business and investment opportunities, exchanging information and promoting cooperation among financial institutions of various countries. The event will include conferences in which expert speakers and panelists will address the needs and requirements of emerging markets. Individual emerging markets will have a chance to present their capital markets and privatization programs during special occasions called "spotlight". There will also be an exhibition as an integral part of the program which will provide a convenient meeting place for the participants, in addition to the conference sessions and spotlights. The previous FIBV Global Emerging Markets Conference and Exhibitions were held in Paris in 1995 and in Mexico-Cancun in 1997.
