This year the equity market has been characterized by remarkable price increases. Since the turn of the year the ICEX- 15 Index has risen by 80% and the ICEX Main List Index by over 70%, outpacing increases on other markets. There are many reasons for this performance, probably the most important being bright economic outlook, good profitability and general optimism among investors. In addition, substantial changes in major holdings of some listed companies have taken place. Turnover has reached new highs. The daily, monthly and quarterly turnover records were all broken in the third quarter.
