As of today, 26 additional Sponsored Funds can be traded on SIX Swiss Exchange. The new investment funds from six providers expand the existing broad range of asset classes with the interesting investment theme of catastrophe bonds. Investors now have a choice of 326 funds from 70 different providers.
Danielle Mair, Product Manager at SIX Swiss Exchange, comments: "This latest expansion gives us an even more diverse offering of funds that can be traded throughout the trading day at prices that are executable at any time."
The new investment funds have been admitted to trading by Bank Julius Baer, who is also assuming the role of market maker for the funds. Its consistent price setting means that investors can execute their orders with immediate effect and implement investment decisions in fund trading in real time and at known prices. Bank Julius Baer is the sponsor for a total of 307 investment funds in the Sponsored Funds segment of SIX Swiss Exchange, which they launched together in March 2013.
An attractive stock exchange service with numerous benefits
In the Sponsored Funds segment, investors can trade fund units in the same way as shares at any time. This allows them to implement investment decisions immediately and execute their orders at known prices. At the same time, they benefit from the protection of the regulated trading environment at SIX Swiss Exchange and enjoy the diversity and safety of investment funds. This segment was launched as part of the "Over the Exchange Initiative" of SIX Swiss Exchange - a trailblazer of new and attractive stock exchange services.
Further information about the benefits of Sponsored Funds may be found on the SIX Swiss Exchange website and in the SIX Swiss Exchange factsheet[PDF].
